Senior Project
As you approach graduation, reflect upon your experiences in physical education over the years in Port Washington Schools. Use your fitness portfolio to interpret your various levels of fitness over time and explain how the variety of activities you participated in during class have influenced your views on personal health and fitness.
Then, design a lifetime fitness program to maintain or improve your fitness levels after graduation. You can include the activities you have participated in during physical education class, intramural sports, clubs and/or activities in the community, and/or personal experience.
Your project must include the following:
1. A reflection on your K-12 physical education experience. (20pts)
2. An evaluation of your fitness scores and any information that you have collected inside your fitness portfolio over the years. (40pts)
3 Design a fitness program that you will be able to utilize after graduation which includes one week of activity that can be repeated. Include the following: (40pts)
A. The 5 components of fitness.
B. Description of the F.I.T.T. principle.
C. Definition of Target Heart Rate.
D. Aerobic vs Anaerobic exercise.
