New York State has finally determined the testing dates for grades 3-5.  Additionally the tests have once again been revised in terms of test items, length of test and the number of days for administration.  Our ability to provide the optimum testing environment and testing accommodations for various students continues to be a challenge.  In order for our staff to appropriately administer this year’s tests, two hour delayed openings for Pre K- Grade 2 students will be necessary. Please review the following schedule:

Grades 3-5   ELA                                             Tuesday, April 17 - Thursday, April 19

(All students testing on all three days)

Grades 3-5    Math                                          Wednesday, April 25 - Friday, April 27

(All students testing on all three days)

Grade 4   Science (Hands-on Test)                   Wednesday, May 23 - Friday, June 1

Grade 4   Science (Written Test)                      Monday, June 4

New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test will be administered to K-5 English Language Learners:

Speaking Test                                        Wednesday, April 18 - Friday, May 18

Listening, Reading, Writing Test              Monday, May 7 - Friday, May 18
